Непонятно мне, что это за русские  на уборке свеклы  в штате Колорадо (1915 AD) ?

These eight pupils are all that are attending out of 160 Russian Children that should be in the Lincoln School, Sterling, Colo. As soon as the beet work commenced they dropped out. Photo taken 8 weeks after school opened. Location: Sterling, Colorado / by Lewis W. Hine., Oct 21, 1915 AD.
